Macaroni Kid Beach Portrait Session by KM Photography

I recently did a family portrait experience with Lisa and her family.  Lisa keeps all of us up to date on community happenings with her Macaroni Kid newsletter and facebook page.  Seriously, other folks in the Conejo Valley, this is a fabulous way to find out all the events for any age child.  There have been so many times I’ve been able to do something extra fun with my own kids because of Macaroni Kid.  So, I was so excited to work with her and her family and to head to Malibu for some contemporary family portraiture.  She has five-year old twins, and understandably, they were much more excited about playing at the beach than standing in front of my camera.  However, I wanted them to play, to enjoy, and in between put them someplace on purpose for my camera.  This is part of it being a portrait experience, instead of a “sitting”.  It all worked out wonderfully and couldn’t have been a prettier day at the beach.
