This past Friday I officially had my windiest portrait experience ever, which wouldn’t have been so bad if sand wasn’t involved. However, sand was very much involved since we were taking portraits in Malibu at the beach. One of the benefits of on-location “photo shoots” is that I have to be creative throughout the entire portrait experience from lighting, to crafting the images, to making the most of the environment. And, I have to say, even though baby E. had chattering teeth within a half hour, the family did really well and has some beautiful portraits to choose from. Once again, kudos to dad N. who had a great attitude and to mom J. who didn’t give up, and was a great mom to work with too! I loved the coral and white color theme and the little adirondack chair that they brought with them. Thankfully in this sneak peek you can’t see the details of the sand flying, which on my monitor at home I can see and I have had to laugh at.
