The time difference can really work to the advantage of the family coming on vacation from the mainland here and choosing a sunrise photography session. The calm, the soft island colors, and the empty beaches are all added bonuses. When Aharon reached out to me from Georgia I was so appreciative that this fellow Atlanta-area photographer would reach out to me. And I get it, photographers are so used to being on the other side of the lens that sometimes we aren’t so comfortable in front of the camera. You’d never know that though, as she just lights up the camera, and we had a great time together exploring the simple beauty of Maui with her and her boys and hubby. Truthfully, I was smiling throughout the entire mini session too— well except when my lens broke but thankfully I have other lenses I was able to use. And this was one of the weeks where I was swapping and juggling clients with the hurricanes, but as you can see, it all worked out, quite beautifully.
