When you are traveling to Hawaii from the mainland, the time change can really help in your favor for a few things at the front end of your trip. You can go see Haleakala at sunrise (with reservations), and the early wake up isn’t so painful. You can head to Hana, with an early start, since you will most likely rise early. You can also choose to do your family photos at sunrise on the front end of your vacation. For this shoot we worked with the baby’s schedule and sunrise was the best time. The family was staying on the beach here so it was literally perfect for dad and mom and their three littles. And we had so much fun capturing all sorts of fun and they splashed their way right into my heart. You know it is a great photo session when clothes are wet, and my cheeks hurt from smiling so much behind the camera, and I don’t even remember that I woke up while it was still dark.
