One of the best part of December photo sessions, is you can get a little extra sleep and still enjoy a beautiful sunrise. And sunrise sessions are always a bonus when you’ve traveled from the mainland or, in this case, Canada and are waking up early anyway. Real life tip though, if you come to Maui and have jet lag and are up early, go outside and enjoy the calm on the island and the pink dipped skies and slow lapping of the waves— it is a wonderful way to start your day. You’ll be able to fall asleep in the afternoon sun later too.
So just a bit before Christmas, this fabulous family and I had a glorious morning on the west side of Maui. I had such a great time with this soon-to-be family of 5, officially. Mom and dad were easy going and willing to just try things and make the most of our morning and also make some happy family memories together. Plus we took a few moments to capture mama’s beautiful baby bump. While the boys did fantastic during our mini session, and honestly had a good time, I think they were more excited that I had a recommendation for pancakes after.
(Oh that recommendation, is in Napili at the Napili Kai the Sea House Restaurant— yummy gluten free ones too. The Gazebo is also VERY popular, but I really like the Sea House.)
