Maui is one of the best places to visit in the world –literally, we rank #6 in the world!!! I think a huge part is because Maui has so much beauty of God’s glorious creation to offer! When I first moved here, we were on a field trip and a scientist told us that within 2 miles of some places on the island, there are 8 different climate/ecological zones. And well, sometimes it looks like this photo shoot where rainforests stand guard to rocky coves filled with fantastic snorkeling and, at times, some of the best surf too. It is a place where lush trees reach to heaven and are cloaked in gold, and where the rocks line the shore and the jewel-like waters spur them to a gentle applause for another beautiful painted sunset sky.
A few years ago Amanda, who is rocking the forrest maiden/goddess look, had step foot in this beautiful rainforest here on Maui. When she reached out to me for a photo shoot while they were here for a recent family vacation, I was so happy to meet her and just hear her heart for her photos— really she is radiant inside and out. She had been to this forrest a few years back while on vacation, and wanted to capture her family there, so that is what we did! And seriously she rocked the outfits for her entire family– who were just so so great to work with! While I offer wardrobe tips for all of my clients, this is actually a great example of a family with coordinated outfits, that are “them”, and all work well/coordinate together. The rust-colored dress also pops beautifully in the forrest. And the boys’ smiles work so well too. We made a great adventure of it all, adding to their vacation memories in Hawaii.
…And then to capture a little extra Maui magic we finished at the bay, as the day also finished, and dipped beyond Molokai.
