Being able to create something special and unique for each one of my clients is something I strive to do. I love capturing the essence of a family, the relationships, and set on a canvas of Hawaiian splendor. Lexi reached out to me about photographing her family, but she wanted to do it a little different than how she had done family photos in the past. This time was the time where she wasn’t going to have any “must haves” for her kids, expectations would be left behind, and she just wanted to capture them having fun on vacation. Staying at the Grand Wailea, and walking out to the beach is a great precursor to extending the family fun vacay time. So we had an entirely candid photo session. Yes, I still directed some, but I was more like an activity director with a camera. We played music and danced, we laughed and played games, and I used my camera to show the beautiful relationships in this family, and capture the fleeting moments of the younger years of childhood, and the earlier years of their family. I love the lifestyle, candid feel of how this photo shoot and mini session turned out. Plus, these kids are so treasured by mom and dad, and we did not stop having fun until the sun went down.
