I am always so thankful for the opportunity to continue photographing families through the years as the kids and families grow. When my business was in Southern California, I was (and am) able to do that. When my business was in Hawaii, I was able to do that. And now, as I’m building in this beautiful city of Charleston, I was able to start my business here the same way! God is good and I am grateful! When mama Staci contacted me about a family photo shoot downtown while they were vacationing here in Charleston, I was just giddy. I love this family, and they were now much more grown up and teenagers and it was high time to capture them again. Plus, we even took some time to capture a few extra of their beautiful daughter for her senior year. (Yes! You can combine family photo sessions with high school senior sessions, OR you can just do an all-out high school senior photo session with different locations, outfits, etc.). So this is the first official Charleston family photography shoot, complete with some crazy humidity and I worked it so you don’t notice the sweat (hello Photoshop!) nor the rain that would come and go throughout the session too. As for locations— Downtown Charleston is such a gem. There are so many options on location here, and having over 12 years of shooting on location definitely made it feel like I was a kid and a beautifully colored candy shop!
But best of all, like always, we had a blast. One of these times I may just invite myself to dinner with the family after the photo session, just so we can hang out even more. I am booking Fall sessions in Charleston and beyond, so contact me to save your spot!
