I am finally, excuse me, FINALLY, catching up on my blog. Apparently moving across the country, adjusting to mountain living, making sure my daughters are adjusting and feeling secure and loved, and learning the ropes of being a college basketball coach’s wife takes more time than I had anticipated. Now, all of these things are still taking place, but I think I’m ready to begin the much needed update process…so nothing like the start of the new year to reflect upon (and consequently post) my shoots from this past year, and the amazing clients I have in California.
One thing is for sure, I had a fantastic time photographing high school seniors in 2012, and look forward to what is in store for 2013 high school senior portraits. Although I’ll be shooting at new locations in Georgia and Tennessee (and maybe Alabama too), I wanted to post some shoots from this past year.
First up, Mara.
Two years ago I photographed Mara’s sister for her senior portraits, and this past year I had a wonderful time photographing Mara around her home. This “home” was where she was most at home. Yes, her house, also a nearby park, field, and of course, the beach. She was up for anything (love that!), and we had a great time heading to a few different locations and getting some different looks for her. Mara is a natural beauty, and consequently beautiful in nature– as you can see here.
