So when I first started talking with mom Emily about her family portrait session she let me know she didn’t want the beach, but for it to still look like Maui. Being that they were visiting the islands from Texas, I wanted to have the subtle backdrop of the mountains too. We settled on the beautiful Maui Tropical Plantation. (Note: this is just a fun place to stop and walk around, you can even take a tram tour while there and feed the ducks or grab something to eat.)
Emily has a beautiful lettering business as seen here and for her portrait session I wanted to give her the whimsy and beauty and connection. Also, as a young mom she, like most, is not in front of the camera enough with her precious baby boy, so we spent some time capturing a few extra tender and sweet moments with mom and son.
I love being able to customize each photo session based on the family and their story of now, especially from all over the USA. And Emily it was such a privilege to do this for you and I’m so glad you’ll have these memories in the many years to come.
So happy I was blessed to tag along that afternoon! Beautiful!
I will treasure these photos forever! Thank you so much, Krissy ❤️
