I love when I get an inquiry and I know that it is going to go well from the start. The R. family was coming to their favorite vacation spot– Wailea, Maui! I don’t know if it is connecting with someone because they are from your “home” town in Southern California (Westlake Village and Camarillo), or if it was just her positive enthusiasm, but it was a good start from the start. I also enjoyed learning that her husband had played baseball at Stanford (I worked there with Athletes in Action for a year after I graduated college) and then went on to play profesional baseball (my brother played professional baseball in the minor leagues too.) Anyway, I was eager to customize their destination photography experience and capture moments that would reflect them and that incredible time when your firstborn is just a few days shy of one-year old. Such a milestone!!! The photography session, with the beautiful location of Hawaiian beaches, was a blast, and even grandma and grandpa jumped in for a few moments. Little L. did amazing and had all sorts of fun, enjoying the discovery and play and love that every one-year old’s world should be made of. Plus L. had just started walking only a few days before so we were able to capture some of his new skills and those adorable tiny, sandy toes.
And grandma and grandpa hopped in… can you see all that love?! This is definitely both mutual and total adoration.
